What do you get when you cross a party planning mom, a best friend bakery owner and a printable party girl? Well, I would say one very lucky little birthday girl! Our friend Olivia recently turned 8, and boy did we plan the Paris Printable Birthday Party of her DREAMS!
Mollie, mom and owner of Hoopla Events, and Maria, owner of The Little Tart Bakery, put their heads together and came up with this amazing little tart making birthday celebration for Olivia. Twelve little guests were invited to celebrate and have some fun – just perfect for little girls and lots of PINK. We started out with a fully decorated front patio area. An old sandwich board was given a birthday makeover with a can of black spray paint and an oversized, personalized black and white printout. Little cafe tables covered with mismatched black and white yardage were topped with simple bud vases and 4×6 signs.
Guests were offered a choice of a pink, purple or white apron, with an array of decorating tools. An Eiffel Tower stamp with fabric paint was the most popular implement, with markers and stencils close behind.
A light dinner was served (before dessert of course) of turkey and cheese croissants, fresh strawberries and pommes frites (that’s french fries to you and me). Bottled waters and pink (of course pink) lemonade rounded out the meal.
Next up – the pièce de résistance – tart making! The birthday girl and her friends were able to make two tarts each, with choices of shortbread crust or brownie crust, to be filled with handcrafted lemon curd or chocolate pastry cream. Toppings included fresh whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries and a caramel drizzle sauce. Major YUM!
We can’t forget the photobooth! French themed photo booth props were available throughout the party for the kids to play with and take pictures with. I personally was worried that no one would recognize the cheese wheel, or even the French baguettes, but I was so wrong! I’ve never seen a bunch so excited about Paris paper designs on a stick! The items in the set are: Lips and Mustaches, Berets, Cravats, an Eiffel Tower, Artists Paint Palette, Perfume Bottles, French Baguettes, a Cheese Wheel and the French Flag
What a FUN and really PINK birthday party Olivia had! I’m sure you saw all the paper decorations scattered throughout the venue, and YES, you can get some for yourself. This Paris Printable Birthday Party kit is a downloadable PDF that you can easily customize, and print out at home. What’s in the set you ask? Its a LONG list! And includes the artwork for your own sandwich board (or just glue it to plain old cardboard), AND the cute themed signage behind the table.
