Marbled easter eggs = cakeballs!

You knew that someday this had to happen, right? I mean cakeballs are kind of a hobby of mine, and well, it is Easter pretty soon. I’m going to tell you right off the bat that the marbleizing technique on these is not “simple”… rather, it’s a little more time consuming. But so TOTALLY worth it!

Let’s face it, the perfect family Christmas portrait is darn near impossible to achieve, especially when you have young children! Over the past several years, it has become a tradition to do things a little bit differently when it comes to taking the Holiday card picture – somewhat out of necessity. So, without further ado, the 2012 Barnes family Christmas card… 2012 “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, when family photos and bribery go hand in hand.”

autumn’s annual holiday craft bazaar

My daughter, the crafter… I don’t know where she gets it from! Last year my daughter, Autumn, came up with this idea to throw her very own Holiday Craft Bazaar. She handmade ornaments and holiday adornments and sold them to the neighborhood just as if she was running a lemonade stand. This year, we cranked the crafting up a notch and made some really cute and unique things.

Advent Calendars. You HAVE to have them during the Holiday season. But, instead of loading the kids up with candy, candy, CANDY… I decided to use this calendar as a way of loading them up with Holiday activities!
