I love paper. Have I mentioned that before? I love it! Versatile, inexpensive and pretty cute if you ask me. Today, I just wanted to show off a an easy way to use paper to make a pretty big party decor impact.
Take, for example, our printable Over the Moon baby shower kit. Included in the PDF, are pages of shaped cutouts of the main character graphics – the cow and the fiddle. The shaped cutouts come in two sizes, cupcake topper size and table centerpiece size. All you need, are some scissors – or an xacto knife if you feel comfortable – and a little time.
If you cut out the cupcake topper size shapes, you can either hot glue them to lollipop sticks, or it would be cute to turn them into hanging garland – interspersed with the matching 2″ cupcake rounds. The garland is something you can make by sewing the pieces together or hole punching and hanging them on twine or even glue dotting them to a wide grosgrain ribbon.
The larger cutouts come with a mirror image so you can put them back to back and view from both sides. Yes, you can certainly make a giant ball of yarn that looks like the moon, or, stick them into a vase full of your favorite flowers, affix them to stakes and put them in along the front walkway, or make a hanging mobile. See, cute right?
