fourth of july pics: post weekend update

Raise your hand if you are exhausted from a great holiday weekend? Cause I am! Every year, we have a 4th of July block party – and by “we” I mean a lovely group of women at the other end of the street organize the whole thing! It is so much fun- especially for the kids. I wanted to share with you just a couple of my Fourth of July pics.

For a few years now, I have offered to bring over some photo booth props – this year my Wild West printable props made an appearance. As I printed out the props for this event, I decided to update the set – add a few more items (a poker hand of cards, cigars, bank robber mask and new hats) and its all ready to go in the shop! It is so much fun to see all the families choose a mustache or a bank robbers mask and smile for the camera. I also had a few red bandanas on the table to complete this silly activity.

The red ones are carrot, and the blue are red velvet. Now that I look back on it, the red pops should have been the red velvet – less confusing maybe? Oh, anyway, they were a huge hit as usual. I even got to use my new cake pop roller – and for my first time, it wasn’t perfect, but I can say it made the rolling process much faster. I think maybe some more practice is in order?

I made so many extra, that a few of them found their way into gifts for a couple of neighbors who helped us out recently. A little sweet “thank you” for one family who watched our house and took care of the mail while we were out of town, and another neighbor who helped my husband snake out the kitchen drain – ew.

That’s about it for my exciting weekend… hope yours was just as fun!
