I LOVE making gingerbread houses with the kids, but, with my recent obsession of snow globes, I couldn’t help but switch it up this year. Check out this totally edible, sweets filled, snow globe with a rice krispie tree as the star!
We made our rice krispies just as the box describes, used a giant Christmas tree cookie cutter, and decorated it a little bit with some white chocolate candy melts and glittery cupcake sprinkles. As a base (and to hold the tree upright) we filled our “snow globe” apothecary jar with white, shimmery sixlet candies
Are you having a snow day at home? Get the kids involved with this project, use any kind of winter-y Christmas-y cookie cutters you have on hand. Don’t have a big apothecary jar? Try any glass container, pitcher, vase, mason jar, or pasta sauce jar. Get creative and make your own!
