When you have a really big family with a really big number of kids, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate together, than at a park. A park, where said family and said numerous children can go crazy without spilling red punch on your white couch. This is exactly why I wanted to share with you our Garden Party printables for Easter!
We have a fantastic set of printable decorations, and some great ideas for throwing your next party – or Easter for that matter – at your local park. Let’s start off with this gorgeous table! Now, you don’t need to bring your own table to the park, (if) they have a perfectly fine picnic table to borrow. We brought our own, and outfitted it with everything we needed to serve brunch (or a continental breakfast?). Delicious muffins, two kinds of scones, individual overnight oatmeal jars and fresh fruit are great for little hands and their hungry parents. We had a stack of our printable food trays for guests to put their breakfast in, which could be tossed in the trash when done.
When it came to styling our table in the park, I tried to use as many items as possible from my house. I’ve been collecting pink depression glass forever, so of course those were all over the table! Wooden crates and wood bark “chargers”, a wooden cake stand looked amazing when paired with a bit of fake moss and these fun round mossy table mats. We added a ton of small paper details like food labels, straw flags and a pennant banner to really drive home our theme.
Now, let’s talk about the birdcages! You can make these too with a bit of ingenuity and this kit of Garden party printables. For one birdcage, you will need these supplies – and the step by step directions are included in the party kit download.
• one printed birdcage (front and back) on card stock
• three birds printed on card stock
• small piece of foam core
• make your own, or buy a mini Shepherds hook (this may end up being too short depending on your look, we taped ours to a wooden skewer to make it longer)
• a pot, vase or can for the base (we found this crusty terra cotta pot at Michaels)
• filler for the base – either use sand, rice or a piece of oasis (floral foam)
• loose moss or paper shred fill to cover
• some green floral wire
After breakfast, we had to have some activities for our little guests, and we started out with bubbles! We put out a tray of bubble solution and enough bubble wands for everyone. I can’t tell you how fun this was for every single person at our party – kids, teens and grown ups alike took their turn. And if I had thought to bring a backup 2 liter container of bubbles, we could have gone on for hours.
Lastly, it was time for an Easter Egg Hunt. Our little guests were so excited to see their name tag on a new basket (cute baskets in the Target dollar spot!). They hunted and gathered, then they cracked and ate. SO much fun!
Our Easter party could not have turned out more beautifully. Now, even though we styled this party for Easter, this set of Garden Party printables can be used for SO many different occasions!
Set up your backyard with these decorations for a baby shower – your pennant banner could read, “It’s a Girl!” and your hang tags could be personalized with the mom-to-be’s name or due date. Use this printable kit for a bridal shower in your living room – your pennant banner could read, “From Miss to Mrs.” and your 4×6″ frame signage could be personalized and placed next to a guest book. Or how about a large group event? We’ve seen so many of our themed collections used to decorate everything from fundraisers to scouting events to church banquets.
